Captain Chris Garcia

A fourth-generation native, Chris has called Key West waters home all his life. Just 12 years old when he started stone crab fishing, he would pull 50 traps from the waters every few days after school. From weekends spent commercial fishing, where he and his friend Alex would catch and sell tons of King Mackerel, Grouper, and Snapper, Chris graduated, got his Captain’s license at 19 years old, and began his light tackle charter business in 2000.

With a long list of repeat clients that keep coming back every year, Chris is the only guide to ever win the Key West Shell Classic two years in a row in both 2005 and 2006. He has been featured on ESPN, magazine articles, and has won numerous fishing tournaments in Key West.

Captain Damon Santelli

A 10-year Key West commercial fishing veteran before becoming a full-time charter captain, Damon Santelli has unmatched experience when it comes to catching fish with rod and reel. Damon spends spring and summer catching Snapper and Grouper before pulling 1250 lbs of kingfish in nearly daily during the winter months.

Damon gave up a full-time office position to pursue his passion of living a life on the water 15 years ago, a decision he has never regret. With tons of patience and a calm demeanor, Damon is a great guide for family and friend fishing trips. With a number of commercial fishing records under his belt, such as 1232 lbs. of Yellow Tail Snapper caught in one day, Damon’s trips are always fun and exciting!

Our Valuable Team Members

Captain Jeremy Loercher

Captain Jeremy grew up on Tampa Bay and began fishing professionally right out of high school. Always possessing a passion for fishing, Jeremy spent 5 years learning from an experienced group of Tampa Bay guides before moving to the Cayman Islands, where he spent 3 years as a Bonefish and Tarpon fly fishing guide. Four more years spent in the Caymans, where he fished Billfish, Wahoo, and Tuna while running all fishing operations at Little Cayman Beach Resort, and it was time to come home.

Jeremy spent another 2 years in Alaska, guiding in Bristol Bay and Ketchikan over the summers before relocating to Florida once more. Always fond of spending time in the Keys whenever he wasn’t working in the Caymans, Jeremy is now a full-time Key West guide, putting all the skills he’s learned to good use.

Captain Cory Shepardson

Fishing with Captain Cory is like going out on the water with a great friend — he’ll have you laughing and enjoying yourself in no time. With 15 years of experience in fishing Key West waters, Cory knows where to go for all kinds of fish and all kinds of excursions. There’s nothing better than having an experienced and friendly charter captain like Cory along with you, as his clientele has discovered!

Captain Cory is more than just a pretty face, though. He’s got a hard-earned reputation as one of the premier Tarpon captains in Key West, catching literally hundreds for his customers every year. It’s just one of the many reasons why anyone going out with Cory comes back year after year to fish with him again and again.

Captain Nick Diorio

Bottom fishing specialist Captain Nick has 14 years of experience fishing professionally in Key West. While Nick runs the Coolcast 36′, the largest boat in the Fish Key West Florida fleet, at one time he was the captain of the Florida Fish Finder, a 105′ three-to-four-day excursion head boat, where he bottom fished the Dry Tortugas and the surrounding areas.

Nick has some of the sharpest eyesight of a captain ever, able to spot birds and fish that no one else aboard can see. This has helped him become an excellent inshore Tarpon guide, catching some of the biggest of these fish year after year. Whether it’s giant Tarpon, monster Mahi Mahi, or Wahoo, Captain Nick has caught them all — fishing with him will be a day you won’t soon forget.

Capt. Colin Barr

The young buck of Fish Key West Florida, 33-year-old Captain Colin grew up in the Northeast and is an expert fly fisherman. With experience working as a guide in Alaska, Colin has spent the last 4 years scouring Key West Harbor, learning its ins and outs better than any other guide in the region.

Today, Colin runs the Outcast, the hybrid boat in the Fish Key West Florida fleet. Whether it’s fishing for inshore Tarpon or hauling in Snappers from the reef, a day spent out on the water with Captain Colin is sure to please. With the Outcast’s unlimited South Atlantic Snapper/Grouper permit, you know you’re in for a good time!
